SWIFT WATER & FLOOD RESCUE TECHNICIAN ADVANCED

This course further develops the in-water, rope and search techniques introduced at SRT to provide the techniques to operate in more complex and advanced environments including night operations.

COURSE CONTENT

Re-cap & development of SRT in-water and rope skills – In-water operations at night – Casualty care, handling and transport – River & flood search operations and management – Highline boat rescue options – Twin line high angle raising and lowering operations – Considerations for operating from ropes above & into water – Introduction to Kootney highline rope systems.

You must already have a current Rescue 3 SRT certification or alternative Defra Module 3 compliant certification to take this course.

Technicians wanting to renew there SFRT but up skill – Technicians wanting night operation skills – Technicians wanting to become instructors SFRT instructors.

Have completed the Rescue 3 Swift water and flood rescue technician.

Course outcome

Candidates will leave with the Rescue 3 SFRTA certificate valid for 3 years.
