Rope Rescue Operator – IC
The Rope Rescue Operator (RRO) course introduces the knowledge and skills required by personnel to operate safely and effectively during rope rescues and be an active part of a rope rescue team working under the supervision of Rope Rescue Technicians.

- Performing rope transfers/changeovers
- Individual pick-offs
- Connecting a casualty on a line using a telescopic pole
- Lifting and lowering a casualty using a pre-installed device
- Tensioning systems and basic mechanical advantage
- Basic casualty care and packing
- Team-based pick-off
- Litter attending low angle
- Rope-based raising and lowering systems

Prerequisites
- Prior experience of working with ropes is recommended
- Minimum age: 18
